Looking to collect X-Men cards - where to start?
Main Post:
I'm interested in ripping some packs to get X-Men cards (specifically magneto and prof x). What sets are generally available for a reasonable price that I could buy packs from? I was looking at the modern Wolverine packs but they seem crazy expensive. I also don't really understand the different box types. Any help or links to guides would be greatly appreciated!
Top Comment: Fleer Ultra X-Men is the absolute best place to start, especially 1994, 1995, and 1996. Full base sets are amazing and not to expensive. The inserts (special cards) for 1995 are really awesome to get, particularly the Sinister Observations 10 card set are in my opinion the most beautiful cards in all of Marvel collecting.
Are 90s X-Men cards collectible?
Main Post:
Have a bunch of X-Men cards (and Spiderman early 2000s not pictured) mostly from the 90s. Are these sought out? I’m fine with parting with them other than a couple cards (dog is named Gambit). Any tips/insights would be appreciated. Cheers!
Top Comment: Sure, you can collect as many as you want. If you mean valuable, then no.
If I like Mad Men and House of Cards, what else should I watch? I like to watch realistic very intelligent shows with good characters and story.
Main Post:
As intelligent as it can get, think Theory of Everything, Frasier, or the stuff Frank Underwood says sometimes, really complex stuff.
Modernish times is good, nothing too escapey like Babylon 5 or something.
Great characters, dialogue, and people making it and living the life in the modern world is what im looking for, all this and as smart as it can get.
The complex ideas(intelligence) and stuff really engage me, not trying to be snobby is what I wanna say.
Top Comment: The Wire is one of the best shows of all time. Watch it.
Greeting cards for men
Main Post:
I love coloring and greeting cards are a hit. But most are floral or other images that are more popular with women. Are there any out there with themes that appeal to men? And generic?
Top Comment: Nature? Boat on the water, a beach view, a canyon or something. Mountains. Ducks on a pond, deers or foxes for the hunting type. Fish?
Men’s wallets recommendations?
Main Post:
I’ve been using a slim wallet that only holds 3 credit cards comfortably and the other pockets are more for ID and such. Now that I’m getting more cards I would like to daily carry a couple more of them with me. I don’t want something too bulky that won’t fit in my back pocket, but definitely something that can hold more than 3 cards. Also, I’m curious to know what the other CC enthusiasts like to carry. What’s in your wallet?
Top Comment: Tumi has always fit my needs. Currently using their 12 slot card wallet and love it.
Recommendations for card wallets?
Main Post:
Anyone got any slim card wallets they recommend for carrying say 10+ cards with easy access?
Was looking at ridge but seems maybe overpriced and there’s cheaper versions out there. Anyone got one and want to correct me?
Any good alternatives?
Top Comment: Anson Calder, Andar, and Bellroy are my three go-to wallet brands: https://ansoncalder.com/collections/wallets-1 https://andarwallets.com/collections/the-wallets https://bellroy.com/products/category/wallets My top picks from each brand are: Anson Calder: Card Wallet with Cash Pocket - This is also the slimmest wallet I’ve ever owned and fits up to 12 cards after breaking in the leather. They also have a version without a cash pocket if you never carry cash. Andar: The Apollo - More of a classic billfold, but with a clip, which makes it easier to access cash. The pull-strap is key here for your lesser used cards. Bellroy: Slim Sleeve (not Note Sleeve) - My favorite wallet of all time, I consider this the perfect wallet tbh.
Looking for a good slim wallet
Main Post:
I hate my current ~1 inch thick leather wallet. Its such a massive thickness in my pocket and too heavy for my liking. Im looking for a really slim wallet, just holding a couple cards and a tiny bit of cash.
Top Comment:
I've tried a lot of wallets. The best I've found is Allett.
No features that seem cool but end up being gimmicky.
You can get them on Amazon too.
Masculine Cards

Nice, but why not call them brown cards or robot cards? What makes these ‘masculine’?
